How to use Adobe Camera Raw to edit and process photos for beginners. This video shows how to use the different tools in Adobe Camera Raw for image adjustment, white balance, masks, exposure adjustments, sharpening saturation and more.
Welcome to PSDESIRE! Dive into the Adobe Photoshop 2024 update, highlighting the exciting Camera Raw features. First, the lens blur creates a bokeh effect in your photos, an early access feature for early feedback. Compare it to Photoshop's neural filter depth blur as I guide you through its use with examples. Access lens blur on the right panel, click apply, and let the software analyze your photo for subjects. Adjust the blur amount for intensity, but use moderation. Get creative with bokeh settings and control focus depth with the focal range. The "visualize depth" option shows a depth map for focus adjustments. In the refine section, use focus and blur brushes to tweak areas lens blur might have missed, enhancing existing blur for standout subjects. Next, the color mixer adjusts hue, saturation, and luminance of specific colors. The point color feature offers precise control over a specific color, with global adjustments that can be isolated using a mask. Finally, the HDR feature in the basic panel edits and exports photos for HDR screens. Enable HDR editing for supported HDR photos in Camera Raw Preferences, including DNG files, Lightroom mobile captures, and HDR HEIF files. Use the HDR Output feature with a supported HDR display and explore new HDR capabilities, including opening HDR formats and adjusting settings for optimal results. Understanding dynamic range is crucial. A cool feature is the Visualize HDR option, which provides a color-coded visualization of HDR ranges. Access it by right-clicking the histogram or checking the Light panel. This tool helps you adjust highlights, midtones, and shadows. After editing, save your HDR photo with the HDR Output box selected in the Color Space section to retain HDR properties. That's it! You're ready to work with HDR photos in Camera Raw, whether merging exposures or editing a single HDR photo, for more control over the final result. Thanks for tuning in!
